Lucas Bergvall’s updated stance on Tottenham transfer revealed, two possible destinations
Lucas Bergvall remains keen to leave Tottenham before the window closes as several clubs eye his services, sources have told Football Insider.
Bergvall indicated his desire to leave Tottenham earlier in the summer window after struggling for game time towards the end of last season.
Spurs' signings of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have also fuelled talk of him leaving the club for pastures new.
Roberto De Zerbi has, however, continued to utilise him in pre-season and refused to rule out the 20-year-old staying in North London.
Despite less recent talk of an exit being on the horizon, Bergvall is still prioritising a move away from Tottenham, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast.
He has been heavily linked to both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest as they each aim to bolster their quality in midfield.

Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Newcastle and Forest intend to submit new offers for Bergvall after they saw respective bids turned down earlier in the window.
The 20-year-old signed a new Spurs contract just over 12 months ago that runs until 2031, and they are believed to be demanding upwards of £50million for his services.
Bergvall failed to start any of Tottenham's final six games of last season and believes he can play more regularly at another Premier League club.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “This is an ongoing situation with Bergvall. I don’t think his stance has changed, and he would be interested in a move away from Tottenham in search of regular, consistent first-team football, which he probably isn't going to get there after their new midfield signings."
What has De Zerbi said about Bergvall's Spurs future?
Bergvall has started both of Spurs' last two friendlies against Sydney FC and Chelsea, and looks set to be involved against Hoffenheim this weekend too.
He could well be on his way out of the club soon, however, even though De Zerbi has admitted that he wants him to stay and fight for his place in his starting eleven.
Speaking to reporters about the situation in July, the Spurs boss said: "I'm always being very clear with him and with you. I would like that he stays with us. I think he's potentially a top, top, top player. But then I don't want to convince anyone to stay. Tottenham is already, without me, a top club and we are not to convince anyone to stay.
"He can find the space if he stays with us. The competition within the players will be very strong because we are Tottenham and we have to build a strong squad - not just 11 players - especially considering a lot of injuries we suffered in the last two, three seasons."
