Marcus Rashford to Tottenham: Odds slashed on Man United deal being agreed
Marcus Rashford could soon be set to join Tottenham as a top bookmaker slashes their odds on agreeing a move with Man United.
Man United boss Michael Carrick is set to sanction Rashford's departure this summer following his loan spell at Barcelona.
He impressed with the Catalan giants and earned a place in England's World Cup squad this summer as a result.
The 28-year-old made it clear that he was keen to stay at the Camp Nou permanently, but they decided against triggering his £26million buy clause.
They now look to have moved on, leaving other clubs with the chance to exercise the £40m release clause in his United contract.
Rashford looks set to be on the move after the World Cup concluded last weekend, and Spurs are looking increasingly likely to seal a move.
Tottenham see odds slashed to 9/2 to be Marcus Rashford's next club
Rashford last played for the Red Devils in December 2024 before heading out on loan to Aston Villa.
He proved his quality under Unai Emery, then helped Barca to the La Liga title with 14 goals and 11 assists in 49 games last season.
The current plan is for him to return to the United first team fold under former teammate Carrick, even though all parties are working towards another move away.
With a transfer still likely, two of the UK's leading bookmakers have shortened Spurs' odds to sign Rashford to 9/2, making them the favourites of any single club for him to join next.
The I paper have claimed that Tottenham are plotting a move for the 28-year-old as Roberto De Zerbi overhauls his squad.
Which other clubs are interested in Rashford right now?
Rashford has a huge decision to make this summer, as he could just sit on his contract and play semi-regularly next season, or take a pay cut to be the main man elsewhere.
He may take the latter option at 28-years-old, and sources have revealed to Football Insider that Aston Villa boss Emery remains a real admirer of Rashford and could push to sign him again this summer.
