The France youth international grabbed an assist off the bench against Auckland FC, before then netting the opener against Sydney FC.

Clearly impressing Roberto De Zerbi, the 21-year-old winger was handed a start in the most recent clash against Chelsea, but he failed to make the desired impact.

That was really the story of his 2025-26 campaign. Tel finished the season with five goals and two assists, with some very hot-and-cold periods.

Now, as per Turkiye, Spurs have joined the race for the winger's signature, who notched 12 goals and 14 assists in 49 games during the 2025-26 campaign.

Yilmaz's adaptability across the front line makes him a desired talent, and it is already known that the the 26-year-old wants a dream move to the Premier League.

Both Tottenham and Everton are expected to launch an "official offer" for the player, with movement likely to happen in the next 10 days.

With Champions League experience, and a number of international caps to his name, Yilmaz is a serious talent and could present as a threat at Hotspur Way.

De Zerbi appears to be a fan of the 21-year-old, but things could change very quickly if the former Bayern man has competition in North London.

Football Insider revealed in June that Tel would push for an exit this summer if he were to fall down the pecking order.

Should Spurs sign Yilmaz from Galatasaray, that would be a very realistic chain of events, and Tel is unlikely to have a shortage of suitors.

At 21 years of age, he has most of his career left, and understandably, he wants to be playing as many minutes as possible, rather than sitting on the bench for Spurs.
