Richarlison set to complete Saudi move after confirmed Tottenham news

Richarlison is set for an imminent move to the Saudi Pro League after being left out of Roberto De Zerbi's plans at Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.

The Brazilian striker has not been included in Spurs' Premier League squad this season after falling out of favour with De Zerbi.

He started their first Premier League game of the campaign against Brentford, but will not be able to feature again until at least January.

Richarlison was closely linked to Everton last week, as well as Trabzonspor, but failed to move to either club before the end of their respective transfer windows.

The Saudi Pro League window remains open and the 29-year-old is expected to make a move there in the coming weeks.

He is expected to push for such a move instead of facing several months on the sidelines until the January window opens.

Richarlison impressed at times for Spurs last season as he bagged 11 goals in 32 Premier League appearances.

Sources exclusively revealed to Football Insider last week that Trabzonspor were in advanced talks with Richarlison over a move, but they failed to finalise the deal before their transfer deadline on Friday.

He had been close to re-joining Everton, but reports claim that terms could not be agreed despite his desire to move back to Merseyside.

Bridges were then burnt even further with De Zerbi as the striker came out with a damning social media statement that insisted he would "never again" let other people decide his future for him.

Saudi clubs have until 12 October to finalise their squads, with Spurs likely to accept a cut-price offer for the Brazilian's services as the writing is on the wall for him in North London.

De Zerbi may live to regret his fall out with Richarlison as Spurs struggle to score goals in the early stages of the campaign.

They are yet to find the net in their opening three league matches, with a first point of the season picked up at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
