Savinho is keen to make the move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer after setting his sights on a move away from Manchester City.

The 22-year-old was keen to move to North London last summer, but saw his move blocked by Pep Guardiola, who planned to use him as part of his first-team plans.

However, he started just seven Premier League games this season, and is now keen to leave the Etihad in search of a more important role in the team at Spurs.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Savinho is detetmined to join Tottenham and talks are expected to progress quickly.

The Brazil winger, who was left out of Carlo Ancelotti's World Cup squad, and both clubs are now keen to reach an agreement that works for everybody involved.

Talk are expected to take place in the near future, with Spurs now growing in confidence that they can complete their third signing of the summer transfer window.

Will Tottenham make a move to sign Savinho?

Football Insider revealed last month that Tottenham are readying a fresh move for Savinho after receiving positive indications that the deal is now there to be done.

Despite their reluctance to sell last summer, Man City are now open to cashing in on the Brazilian as they eye an overhaul of their squad under a new manager.

Their strength in depth going forward has been key to their recent success, but with Savinho pushed down the pecking order, he is now keen to join Tottenham.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Tottenham are expected to formalise their interest in the Brazilian with an offer in the coming weeks.

"Savinho is interested in making a move to North London as well. So there's a willingness from Tottenham, and a willingness from Savinho as well to do a deal.

"I don't think City would stand in his way if they do get a good offer for the winger this summer.

"There's a willingness from all parties to get a deal done here, so I would expect things to move sooner rather than later, and Tottenham are confident that they can get a deal done for Savinho."

How much will Savinho cost Tottenham?

Spurs have yet to make a formal offer to Man City for Savinho this summer, but positive indications and their willingness to sell means the deal should be straightforward.

Much will depend on the finances involved, however, and Tottenham have already shown they are willing to spend bid to back De Zerbi this summer.

Football Insider revealed on 12 June that an offer of £60million has a strong chance of being accpeted, with Tottenham now lining up a move to match that value.

Spurs have enjoyed a strong start to the transfer window after completing deals for Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, with new recruits already being worked on.

They are also believed to be lining up a £55million offer for Brighton's Jan Paul van Hecke, with money expected to be no object to De Zerbi's plans.
