Sources: Lincoln City agree deal to sign Tottenham star Mason Melia
Lincoln City have agreed a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Mason Melia on loan, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship new-boys are hoping to have the deal wrapped up within 48 hours as they close in on an agreement to land the 18-year-old.
Tottenham have received as many as 30 enquiries about the teenager this summer, with clubs in the Championship and across Europe having expressed an interest.
However, Lincoln have now beaten their rivals to the punch, and sources say they are aiming to reach a full agreement and have medical checks completed within days.
Melia is extremely highly regarded at Tottenham, who are hopeful he can continue his development in the Championship after arriving in North London in January.
