Tottenham would accept ‘huge’ Destiny Udogie offer
Tottenham will be open to selling Destiny Udogie if a sizeable offer for his services arrives in 2027, sources have told Football Insider.
Udogie has started just two of Spurs' first seven Premier League games of the season as he deals with persistent injury issues.
He impressed in his last appearance against Man United but is behind Andy Robertson in Roberto De Zerbi's left-back pecking order right now.
The 23-year-old was linked with a return to Serie A in the summer, but the Spurs boss viewed him as an important part of his plans.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Tottenham are still planning to keep hold of Udogie but could let him leave next year for the right price.
He is currently sidelined and De Zerbi has confirmed that the Italy defender will not be fit for Spurs' visit to Chelsea this weekend.
Destiny Udogie could leave Tottenham for big money despite Roberto De Zerbi's plans
Udogie has racked up 100 appearances for Tottenham since joining from Udinese in 2023.
He was limited to just 28 outings in 2025-26 as Djed Spence nailed down the left-back spot, and has made six appearances so far in 2026-27, missing chunks of the campaign through injury.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "It would take a huge offer, I think, to tempt Spurs to cash in on Udogie. He's a key player when he's fit and firing. I think he probably would be the first choice left-back if he was fit and available for Roberto De Zerbi's side.
"Obviously he's got competition now with Andy Robertson also at the club as well. The big problem for Udogie has been that he just picks up a few injuries, and that holds him back whenever he is having a good run in the side."
Udogie's injury history broken down
Udogie has missed approximately 36 games for club and country due to injury over the last three years since he joined Tottenham, according to Transfermarkt.
Respective knee, muscle and hamstring issues ruled him out of 14 matches in his debut campaign at the club, which was his best so far when he was fit to play.
He then missed a further 11 games with a hamstring problem in 2024-25, before five separate knee, hamstring and muscle injuries saw him sidelined for 136 days and around 20 games last season.
He was out of action throughout pre-season ahead of this campaign, and has missed two matches so far, with that number only set to increase.
