Sources: Tottenham to accept Pape Sarr offer as club make 'big push' for agreement

Tottenham Hotspur are "open to offers" for centre-midfielder Pape Sarr in the final week of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Lilywhites are fielding significant interest in the Senegal international at the moment, with Galatasaray ready to make a "big push" to sign him.

Sarr also has significant interest from elsewhere in the Premier League, but the Turkish giants are hoping to be able to lure him to Istanbul.

The 23-year-old is keen on the idea of a move away from North London, as it is already clear that he is not part of Roberto De Zerbi's long-term plans.

However, the chances of Sarr moving to Galatasaray are likely to hinge on whether he is willing to play at a lower level.

The youngster only started 13 games for Tottenham in the Premier League last term, and was left out of the squad for their defeat at Brentford last weekend.

Tottenham ready to move Pape Sarr before deadline

Premier League clubs are rapidly running out of time to tie up their final pieces of business before the upcoming deadline.

Clubs have until 11pm on 1 September to finalise their summer moves, leaving limited time for clubs from across the league to move for Sarr.

Galatasaray have the added benefit of an extra three days to potentially get a deal over the line, but time is still of the essence if they are to land Sarr.

The former Metz man has been viewed as a hugely promising young talent in North London in recent years, but he has rapidly fallen down the pecking order under De Zerbi.

The big-money additions of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali have left him firmly on the fringes of the squad, and he is not content with only playing a bit-part role.

Tottenham are also ready to show Sarr the door, as they look to recoup some of their eye-watering summer spend in the final days before the deadline.

Tottenham set clear Sarr valuation

Football Insider revealed at the start of August that Tottenham would be willing to sell Sarr for as little as £30million this summer.

The Lilywhites are not looking to place a "huge price tag" on the youngster, having already made significant money from the sales of Luka Vuskovic, Cristian Romero and Djed Spence.

There is also a possibility that Lucas Bergvall departs before the deadline, which would see more money return to the club's coffers.

Sarr looks set to be an affordable option for clubs to pursue ahead of the deadline, but any moves will have to be made quickly.
