Sources: Tottenham will accept £30m Pape Sarr offer
Tottenham Hotspur have placed a £30million valuation on midfielder Pape Sarr amid interest from Aston Villa, sources have told Football Insider.
The Villans have identified the Senegal international as a clear target to bolster their midfield ranks, and Spurs are happy to accept a relatively small fee for their player.
The Lilywhites are not looking to place a “huge price tag” on Sarr, having already made £46m on Luka Vuskovic, with Lucas Bergvall potentially also moving on.
Villa are big admirers of Sarr, and sources have indicated that Unai Emery’s side will not have to break the bank in order to sign him before the 3 September deadline.
The second city outfit are working to strengthen their squad for their return to the Champions League, but cannot spend as freely as they would like.
However, Sarr could prove to be a cost-effective option for them, with Tottenham not holding out for a lofty transfer fee.
Pape Sarr keen to leave Tottenham
Bergvall’s desire to leave Tottenham came as a surprise earlier in the summer, and the situation that is currently facing Sarr is very similar to that of his teammate.
The additions of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have made headlines for the Lilywhites in recent weeks, and the pair are both effectively guaranteed a starting spot in the opening weeks of the season.
That has pushed the likes of Sarr down the pecking order as a result, to the point where he is now ready to entertain the idea of a move elsewhere to get more regular game time.
He arrived in North London with big expectations attached when he first joined from Metz back in 2022, but he hasn’t hit those heights in England so far.
Tottenham’s relegation scare last time out has convinced them that they must turn their fortunes around dramatically in 2026-27.
The spending that has been seen as a result looks set to have a hugely detrimental effect on the futures of several of their brightest young talents.
Mikey Moore set for six-way transfer decision
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday that Spurs winger Mikey Moore is facing a choice of six clubs for his next loan move in 2026-27, after talks with Koln in recent days.
Three more Bundesliga sides, Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg and RB Leipzig are all pushing to land the 18-year-old for the season, while Dutch Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar are also in the frame.
However, English interest still remains, with Middlesbrough keen to offer Moore the chance to become a key cog in their push for the Premier League.
The wideman dazzled during a stint with Rangers last season, but now appears set for a step-up in standard with his next loan move.
