Guglielmo Vicario is “fully expected” to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Both Juventus and Napoli are credited with interest in the 29-year-old, with the former club seeing him as a cheaper alternative to Emi Martinez.

Sources say that Tottenham have placed a £20million price tag on their goalkeeper, who has been the number one for most of his time at the club.

Vicario is “interested” in a move back to his homeland after Spurs completed the signing of Martin Dubravka.

Antonin Kinsky is expected to be Tottenham’s number one this season, with Dubravka being the club’s number two, which has opened the door to a Vicario sale.

Vicario played 31 Premier League matches for Spurs last season, but only kept seven clean sheets as they narrowly avoided relegation.

At the back end of the 2025-26 campaign, Kinsky was preferred to Vicario under Roberto De Zerbi.

Is Antonin Kinsky an improvement on Guglielmo Vicario?

While Kinsky may have had a rotten debut in the Champions League last season, the goalkeeper impressed in the Premier League towards the end of the campaign.

The 23-year-old was able to keep two clean sheets in his final five matches, which proved to be vital for Spurs in confirming their top-flight status.

However, many of Kinsky’s stats in the Premier League are mixed, especially when compared to Vicario.

According to Fotmob on 25 June, Kinsky averaged 1.43 saves, a 58.8 per cent save rate, 1.00 goals conceded, -0.08 goals prevented and 0.29 clean sheets in the Premier League last season.

In comparison, Vicario averaged, 2.68 saves, a 62.4 per cent save rate, 1.61 goals conceded, -0.17 goals prevented and 0.23 clean sheets.

However, with Kinsky clearly having potential, De Zerbi will be hopeful that his stats can be heavily improved upon for the 2026-27 campaign.

Who else could depart Tottenham this summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Tottenham will not be forced into selling Lucas Bergvall this summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old midfielder has recently made it clear that he is keen to leave Spurs over the coming months.

However, Tottenham are prepared to wait for a decent bid to come in before sanctioning a sale.

The Sweden international is under contract until the summer of 2031, and Spurs are not panicking over his future at the moment.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Bergvall will be in Tottenham’s squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
