Tyrese Hall is the next Tottenham breakout star, the stats show he can fix clear De Zerbi problem

Tyrese Hall is absolutely deserving of a senior debut, and Tottenham Hotspur are desperate for more firepower this season.

The 21-year-old is naturally a centre-midfielder, sometimes pushing forward, but he has recently been starring in a new role for the Under-21s.

Wayne Burnett has not been afraid to throw Hall into new positions, with the youngster deputising as a centre-forward in the last two games.

And against Derby County, he added one goal and two assists to his Premier League 2 stats, taking him to six contributions in six games.

Supporters had to watch him from afar in 2025-26 last season, though, as he was sent out on loan to Notts County. Unsurprisingly, he stole the spotlight.

Hall grabbed eight goals and one assist in 39 appearances for the League Two club, and should certainly have caught Roberto De Zerbi's attention.

The Lilywhites splashed over £300million on transfers during the summer, but the under-pressure manager may have no choice but to depend on the academy.

With Dominic Solanke just hoping to stay fit and Richarlison out of Spurs' Premier League squad, Hall would slot seamlessly into the lineup.

And with Spurs only managing to convert 2.82 per cent of their shots so far this season, as per Squawka, the academy star really cannot do any worse.

So far this season, Hall has converted 33 per cent of his shots in Premier League 2, and in League Two last season, he converted 35 per cent.

It's clear to see he is the next breakout star at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Based on all Premier League shots, Conor Gallagher is currently Spurs' best player in front of goal, quickly followed by Jan Paul van Hecke.

Who could Tottenham sign in January?

Promoting Hall would certainly need to be seen as a short-term fix, at least until the January transfer window opens later in the season.

Football Insider understands that Spurs are keen to sell multiple players to fund a deal for a brand-new, trusted centre-forward.

While it is understood that a move for Mauro Icardi on a free transfer has been ruled out, several Premier League stars could be targeted.

Of them all, Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White remains on the club's radar, and his goal contributions would make a huge difference in North London.
