Wilson Odobert update as door opens for late Tottenham move
Wilson Odobert is not set to leave Tottenham in the final days of the window as he continues to recover from a ruptured ligament, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old suffered an ACL injury when Tottenham faced Newcastle back in February and was forced to undergo surgery.
He has remained sidelined ever since, but is believed to be back on the grass and working with the ball as he targets a full recovery soon.
Odobert has been linked with a surprise exit from Spurs in the late stages of the summer window despite his injury, with Ipswich believed to be interested.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he is not fit enough to seal a move away from Spurs in this window and will remain at the club for the time being.
Odobert has seen competition arrive for places in Roberto De Zerbi's forward line over the last few weeks, but will return to fitness as an option for the Italian in the coming months.

Odobert displayed his talent in glimpses last season, registering two goals and four assists in 33 appearances before his injury.
His ability and potential could see him be a valuable addition to De Zerbi's ranks when he returns to full fitness, but fans will have to bide their time to see him back in action.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I don't see how he can move this window because he's still recovering from an ACL injury that he picked up in February. He's obviously made a light return to training just this month, so he's way off returning to fitness.
"It'd be a massive gamble for anybody if they were to bring him to their club before the close of the window. He's probably not going to be match-fit for another two to three months."

Moore has capitalised on Odobert's unavailability to feature heavily under De Zerbi in the last few months.
He could still be deemed surplus to requirements after the arrivals of Savio and Omar Marmoush, despite registering a goal and an assist in their last match against Charlton in the Carabao Cup.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Bundesliga club Koln are ringing Spurs daily to persuade them to let Moore join on loan for the season ahead.
Several other clubs across Europe are keen on his signature, but it remains to be seen if Tottenham sanction an exit before Tuesday's deadline.
