FC Koln are “ringing every day” to persuade Tottenham Hotspur to agree a deal for Mikey Moore before the cut-off, sources have told Football Insider.

The Bundesliga are currently working on a loan deal for the 19-year-old winger.

The transfer currently hangs in the balance, with the England Under-19 international set to feature for Spurs on Saturday against Newcastle United.

Moore could even start for Tottenham in the Premier League clash after he played the full 90 minutes in the 5-1 victory over Charlton Athletic on Wednesday, where he picked up a goal and an assist.

Moore has attracted plenty of admirers this window, with the likes of Middlesbrough, Borussia Dortmund and Hamburg previously showing interest.

However, Koln now appear to be the frontrunners ahead of transfer deadline day on 1 September.

Mikey Moore could have a part to play at Tottenham this season

Moore no doubt has plenty of potential.

This was on show last season, when the winger was fantastic while on loan to Rangers, which has helped attract the current interest in him.

Then on Wednesday, he showed the Spurs crowd just how good he could become as he dominated Charlton in the Carabao Cup.

According to Fotmob on 28 August, he had a 0.07 xG, created one chance, had one shot which was on target, completed three successful dribbles, won seven out of 14 ground duels and made four recoveries.

Therefore, if De Zerbi decided to keep him around for the first half of the season, he could easily play a part and could be a strong impact player off the bench.

What other business could Tottenham complete this summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Tottenham are monitoring the progress of Real Sociedad defender Jon Aramburu.

Spurs are keen to add competition for Pedro Porro and the right-back is seen as a potential option late in the transfer window.

This comes after the North London club opted to sell Djed Spence to Inter Milan earlier in the transfer window.

Aramburu's arrival would allow Archie Gray to step into midfield, after he struggled at right-back in Tottenham's Premier League opening-day defeat to Brentford last week.

However, it remains to be seen if Spurs can get a deal done before the transfer window closes on 1 September.
