Tottenham insider: Paratici 'parked' the Tomiyasu deal and he 'decided to join Arsenal'
Tottenham insider John Wenham claims Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu could come back to haunt Tottenham this weekend.
Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, claims the game is set up for Tomiyasu to play a blinder.
This site revealed on 2nd July that Tomiyasu had his “heart set” on a move to Spurs this summer and had made that clear to his inner circle.
It was understood Managing director Fabio Paratici agreed personal terms with the player.
However, the club switched their attention to Barcelona’s Emerson Royal and signed him on deadline day.
In turn, Tomiyasu moved to Arsenal and has won many plaudits during his first two ouitngs.

Wenham is concerned the signing of Emerson could be undermined if Tomiyasu puts in another good performance on Sunday.
“I’m concerned about something that will come back to bite Tottenham,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Obviously Tomiyasu, he’s a player Tottenham wanted in the summer. They then decided to move on, maybe because Emerson Royal became available.
“They then decided to park the deal for Tomiyasu and he in turn signed for Arsenal.
“He has started well at Arsenal, albeit they have played against some of weaker teams in the Premier League in Norwich and Burnley.
“Were he to put in a good performance over Emerson Royal, fans from both clubs would be arguing who got the better deal.
“That’s something I’m worried about, going into the game.”
Tottenham go into the North London derby on the back of two 3-0 defeats in the league.
They stopped the rot with a penalty shootout win over Wolves in the EFL cup on Wednesday.
