Tottenham Insider: Levy will replace Nuno with Pochettino 'in a heartbeat' after development
Tottenham are not committed to Nuno Espirito Santo and remain interested in re-hiring Mauricio Pochettino.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Today (4 October) The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported Tottenham can sack Nuno and not pay him compensation if the club finishes outside the to six this season.
However, in the report, it was stated a club spokesperson said the information regarding the reported clause was “wrong and untrue”.
Nuno only signed a two-year deal when he joined the club in the summer.
Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham in November 2019 but remains a hugely popular figure among the Spurs fanbase.

His PSG team lost 2-0 to Rennes at the weekend despite Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar all starting the game.
Wenham insists Tottenham will part with Nuno if Pochettino becomes available, regardless of the reported clause.
“I’m looking at PSG,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I watched that game at the weekend where they lost for the first time in the league this season.
“I know he scored in the Champions League but Messi is goalless in three in the league.
“If this thing doesn’t work out between PSG and Poch, regardless of Nuno’s position and this new clause, he’s gone in a heartbeat.
“I’ve said this before but if for any reason PSG sack Poch, I think Tottenham and Levy will act quickly to bring him in and get rid of Nuno.
“What was reported by The Athletic doesn’t surprise me. Tottenham aren’t committed to Nuno long-term.
“It’s like we’re waiting for Poch to become available.”
