Tottenham insider tips 1 January signing announcement with Paratici 'working on deal right now'
Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici is “working right now” on bringing in a new striker for 1 January.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Spurs have struggled in front of goal this season, only scoring four times in six Premier League games.
Star man and sole senior striker Harry Kane has only bagged in the EFL Cup and Europa Conference League.
Paratici had a productive first transfer window at the club, signing five senior players though none of them were an out and out striker.
Wenham insists Paratici’s new priority will be bringing in a new hitman as soon as the transfer window opens in January.

“January is two months away already,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“What we want is a forward. Someone who can play as a striker but maybe also in that number 10 role.
“Paratici is working on that right now. We can’t afford to wait around. We need someone who can come in on January 1st.
“None of this waiting until the last day of the window to do deals. The new Tottenham need to be proactive rather than reactive.
“We need to hit the ground running on January 1st and I’m sure there are deals to be done.
“The one issue is some players will be cup-tied in this country or in Europe.
“But on the flip side of that, there will be plenty of Premier League games left.
“We can’t afford to wait all month.”
Tottenham face Aston Villa this weekend as they look to turn around their Premier League form.
Last season, Kane managed to score once in his two outings against the Villains.
