Tottenham may have Winks replacement lined up amid Paratici's £30m transfer reveal - ex-manager
Alex McLeish has suggested Tottenham have sights set on new signings after telling Harry Winks he can leave.
The ex-Rangers manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he was “surprised” the Lilywhites are prepared to sell the 25-year-old.
As reported by Football Insider last week (June 9th), new managing director Fabio Paratici has told Winks the club will listen to offers for him this summer.
It is understood Spurs are looking for £30million but could accept less for the academy graduate.
McLeish admitted he thought Tottenham would want to keep Winks under a new manager like Paulo Fonseca.
However, he suggested Paratici may already have a replacement in mind.

McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “An English Premier League player costs that kind of money.
“He’s being allowed to leave and you would think that is something of a slight on the player but they still want £30 million for him.
“You would think Harry Winks would be saying ‘They want rid of me’, head down.
“But he is still a young man and he’s got a brightness about his style of football. I’m surprised Spurs are not going to go forward with boys like that.
“Maybe Fonseca and Paratici have other names in their mind and they need to free up money to get their own men in. People that they know.”
Former England defender Danny Mills told Football Insider on Sunday (June 13th) that Winks could move to Premier League sides Aston Villa or Wolves.
The 10-cap England international has played 173 times for Tottenham during his time in North London.
