Tottenham player ratings v Watford: Attacker is 9/10
By Matt Farr
Football Insider rates the Tottenham players during their thumping 4-0 win over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Hugo Lloris 6 – Very rarely tested. Another clean sheet for a goalkeeper with one of the best defensive records in Europe.
Ben Davies 6 – Gave a much-improved display from his stinker against Swansea. Combined well on the overlap and little complaints in the defensive third.
Kieran Trippier 7 – Had a Kyle Walker-esque presence in the final third with his bombing forward runs. Decent delivery too.
Jan Vertonghen 6 – Always well-positioned. Had a rare sight of goal in the second half but lost out to a recovering Watford defence.

Toby Alderweireld 6 – Covered well when the ball was played across the box. Rarely looked troubled.
Eric Dier 6 – Demonstrated superb passing range and distribution from the midfield. Certainly wasted as a central defender. Thunderous strike for Tottenham second.
Mousa Dembele 7 – The immovable object in the Tottenham midfield. Tracked back well and was a driving force further forward.
Son Heung-Min 9 – The attacker performs much better on the flanks, and it showed. Bagged another two goals, but missed a gift of a chance from Kane to score a hat-trick.
Dele Alli 7 – Sublime curling finish from range to hand Tottenham a deserved lead. Outplayed his opponents, which has been a regular outcome this season.
Christian Eriksen 8 – Orchestrated a scintillating attacking display with crisp passing and vision. Wasn’t on the scoresheet this time, but made his own impact.
Vincent Janssen 6 – Missed a golden opportunity in the first half. Looked menacing but still lacks the finishing touch.
Harry Kane 6 (for Janssen 61)
Moussa Sissoko 6 (for Dembele 75)
Josh Onomah 6 (for Son 88)
