'Huge' - Exclusive: Pundit on Spurs signing world star on pre-contract ahead of Jan
Paul Robinson is adamant Sami Khedira still has a “huge” amount to offer after the Juventus midfielder opened the door on a move to Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper pointed to Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as to reasons why the London club should consider a move for the 33-year-old in 2021.
Khedira is into the final eight months of his contract in Turin and could sign a pre-contract with a Premier League club in January.
In an interview with Sky Germany, he revealed that he dreams of playing in the Premier League and would not rule out a reunion with his former Real Madrid boss and now Spurs manager Jose Mourinho.
Robinson saw no reason as to why the Lilywhites should not consider a move for the the 2014 World Cup winner.
“Look at the likes of Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, players can play on a lot longer than they used to,” he told Football Insider.

“Ronaldo and Ibahimovic will be one of the fittest, if not the fittest in their squads.
“Professional footballers look after themselves and go on a lot longer. They are monitored on a daily basis.
“We no longer have players retiring at 30, 32 unless it is a really bad injury. Players are fitter and stronger and it is helping them elongate their careers.
“There is no reason why Khedira would not do that, he has a huge amount to offer, but you are not going to sign him on a three-year contract.”
