Tottenham are readying an offer for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik after his price tag was slashed by £14million, Football Insider understands.

The London giants have held preliminary talks with the Serie A club over a potential deal for the Poland international this summer.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Milik, 26, is on their forward target list and they are ready to test the water with a bid.

Tellingly, Napoli have reduced the asking price for the 26-year-old from £46m to £32m after failing to find a buyer this window.

The Serie A giants face the prospect of losing the striker for nothing next summer as he has entered the final year of his contract and has snubbed offers of an extension.

This has opened the door for suitors, who include Juventus and Tottenham.

The Serie A giants have held extensive talks over a potential deal with Napoli but have been unable to reach an agreement.

Spurs have continued to bide their time but are now ready to pounce as they look to add another key attacking player to Jose Mourinho’s squad.

The Londoners have made three senior signings this summer in midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, right-back Matt Doherty and goalkeeper Joe Hart.

One of the manager’s main priorities over the final month of the window is to strengthen the front line by providing cover and competition for the two chief goalscorers, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min.

Milik is a 51-times Poland international who has scored 48 times from 122 matches during his four years at Napoli.

The former Ajax striker netted 14 goals from 35 matches in all competitions last season, including 11 from 26 league games.

In other news, Tottenham have made an approach to sign 22-year-old international from top European league.
