Tottenham set to revive interest in 16-goal forward who wants PL move - report

Tottenham are set to revive their interest in Lazio forward Keita Balde this summer, according to a report.
The Mirror have claimed on their website that the north London club are eyeing the 22-year-old left-winger once more as they prepare to bring in summer reinforcements.
It is however stated that Serie A and European giants Juventus are leading the race for the 12-time capped Senegal international.
But, Balde is also said to want a move to the Premier League and that could of course fall in Tottenham’s favour.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are yet to bring in a player this summer with Kyle Walker’s exit to Manchester City their only major deal to date.

However, it is clear why the club would be interested in signing Balde after the young attacker bagged a fine 16 goals and provided six himself in 34 matches in all competitions in the last campaign.
Balde has just one-year remaining on his contract at Lazio and it is stated that he has so far refused an extension.
Football Insider verdict:
Tottenham are a side with very few weaknesses in their starting eleven. However, after the departure of Walker it can be said that the club are currently lacking in both the wide defensive and attacking department due to his ability to bomb up and down the pitch. Last summer’s wide attacking signings Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Moussa Sissoko have also failed to make an impact in north London since joining and Tottenham should certainly consider a deal for Balde, especially if he can be picked up at a fraction of his true value due to his contract situation.
In other Tottenham transfer news, this Spurs attacker has sealed a move to an English club.
