Revealed: Tottenham coaches expecting big things from Sessegnon next season
Tottenham coaches are convinced Ryan Sessegnon can make a big impact when he returns next season, Football Insider has learned.
The youngster, 20, has spent this season on loan at German club Hoffenheim and barely been seen in a Spurs shirt since his £25million move in August 2019.
But Spurs staff are in doubt, sources have told Football Insider, the club have a special talent on their books in Sessegnon.
The versatile left footer is regarded as a potential worldbeater by those who have watched him closely since his mid-teens.
That includes made of the academy staff and recruitment team at Tottenham, who pushed strongly for him to be signed years before the deal was finally agreed in 2019.
It is not yet known if Sessegnon is best suited to playing left-back or in a more advanced attacking role.

Injuries and mixed form disrupted his debut campaign at Tottenham and he missed nearly two months at the turn of the year following a hugely encouraging start to his loan spell in Germany.
At Hoffenheim, Sessegnon has made 14 league starts among 26 appearances in all competitions.
More than half of those have been at left-back, with the others in attacking midfield positions, mainly on the left.
Jose Mourinho felt Sessegnon needed more top-level experience before he was able to make a sustained Premier League mark.
The recently-sacked manager sanctioned his departure following a debut campaign in which the youngster made just four Premier League starts among 12 appearances in all competitions.
This is a far cry from his exploits at Fulham, where he was named in the Championship team of the season in back-to-back years as a 16 and then 17-year-old, and also won the division’s coveted player of the season award.
