Dele Alli tipped to dazzle in 2020-21 after official Tottenham announcement - pundit
Dele Alli is still capable of producing moments of magic – and that proves he has what it takes to kickstart his Tottenham career.
That is according to former top-flight shot-stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 25-year-old’s career slump.
Tottenham announced on 19th July that Alli was one of 10 nominees for Uefa’s 2020-21 Goal of the Season award.
His overhead kick against Wolfsburger in the Europa League last 32 in February was judged to be one of the best across Uefa competitions.
Alli started just two league matches before Jose Mourinho was deposed as manager in mid-April.
But Kenny insists that flashes of brilliance like his goal against Wolfsburger prove he can turn the tide in North London.

“He can 100 per cent turn things around,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He’s come out and said that he doesn’t blame Mourinho for not being involved a lot last season.
“He needs to sort himself out but he’s acknowledged that. It might his preparation or his love for football that’s the issue.
“But if he thinks he can get that sorted out, which I’m sure he can, and he can get back to where he was three or four years ago then these flashes and the goals show he’s still got it.
“We all know what he can do. It’s just a matter of getting it back. He can be like a new signing for them.
“I’m sure it’ll be near the top of Nuno’s to-do list to get him back playing well and enjoying the game.”
