Dele Alli praised Tottenham’s summer signing Georges-Kein N’Koudou, sharing that he “couldn’t have asked for a better person” after the pair attempted to set a world record.
The two young attackers featured in a video shown on Dugout where they looked to score the most volleys in 60 seconds.
Alli took up the role of putting the ball into the back of the net, while Frenchman N’Koudou fed him from a short distance.
The pair were told that they had to hit a minimum of 20 goals to reach the world record and they hit that total exactly, earning themselves a place in the world record books.
Both Alli and N’Koudou lifted the certificate in the video and the England international was full of praise for his teammate afterwards.
“I feel very good after this. This is an honour for us to win this award and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to do it with,” told Alli as shown in the Dugout video.
N’Koudou joined Tottenham from Marseille in the summer for a fee of £11million after a long drawn out transfer saga between the two sides.
The 22-year-old left-winger has so far struggled in his debut season in north London and has featured just six times in the Premier League.
However, with four years still on his contract he will be hoping his second season can be more successful with age still on his side.
