Adama Traore has hired Jorge Mendes to help broker a deadline day move from Wolves to Tottenham, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The wide forward, 25, is very keen to move to the north Londoners and reunite with Nuno Espirito Santo.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Traore is firmly on their radar going into the final 24 hours of the window.

Wolves have knocked back a loan bid for the Spain international but are willing to listen to offers of a permanent deal.

Mendes has signed a mandate with Traore even though he is not the player’s representative.

The super agent is not just an advisor to Wolves, but also the agent of Nuno.

Mendes' Gestifute player agency represents a wealth of opulent talent, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Dias and Bernado Silva.

Traore has two years remaining on the five-year contract he penned when he joined from Middlesbrough in 2018.

That was before Bruno Lage was hired as the new boss at Molineux.

Lage has selected Traore in his starting XI for each of his opening three league games as Wolves boss.

If Mendes is successful in carving out a route for Traore to join Spurs, he will become their third permanent signing of the summer window.

Bryan Gil and Pape Sarr have arrived for a combined total of close to £40million.

Christian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini meanwhile have signed on season-long loans from Atalanta with the option to make their switches permanent next summer.
