Tottenham tipped to axe Winks and start trio after early team news pre-Chelsea - pundit
Paul Robinson has tipped Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso to start for Tottenham against Chelsea today.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one urged Nuno Espirito Santo to make changes after a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace last time out.
As reported by the Standard (18th September), the trio returned to England on Saturday morning and trained ahead of today’s clash against Chelsea.
They have all been unavailable for Spurs since the international break and have been training in Croatia for the past ten days to avoid quarantining in a UK hotel.
The return of Romero and Sanchez is particularly timely for Espirito Santo with Japhet Tanganga suspended and Eric Dier potentially sidelined through injury.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if Romero, Sanchez and Lo Cels would come into the starting XI Robinson said:

“The three of them come back in, 100%.
“Something needs to change because they cannot perform the way they did at the weekend.
“I think Romero will prove to be Spurs’ best signing of the summer so he will definitely come in. It’s been a problem area for some time.
“I expect him and Sanchez to start at the back together with Lo Celso coming in for Harry Winks.”
Speaking on the trio ahead of Chelsea’s visit, Espirito Santo said: “They arrive Saturday and they have a training session in the afternoon.
“If they are available and fit, if we consider they will be options, then we must consider them in this moment.”
