Conte tipped to bin three Tottenham big names in January amid '£280m' transfer claim - pundit
Dele Alli, Ben Davies and Harry Winks must make way at Tottenham to help finance a £280million revamp.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Antonio Conte’s appointment on 2 November.
The elite Italian manager is tasked with lifting Tottenham out of 9th place in the league table and securing European qualification.
He has begun his reign with a 3-2 win over Vitesse in the Europa Conference League and 0-0 draw with Everton in the Premier League.
As quoted by The Sun on 3 November, director of football Fabi Paratici appeared to hint that it will be a quiet January window for Spurs.
Asked if he had spoken with Conte about the possibility of new signings, he replied: “Not at all because we trust in our players a lot.”

Alli, Winks and Davies have just nine league starts between them this season despite having been fulcrums of previous Spurs teams.
Kenny insists that the trio should be binned and Spurs should look to sign “three or four £60m to £70m” players.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Winks has not been involved a lot, Alli has been in and out, Davies isn’t getting many games.
“Alli is such a wasted talent. It’s time for him to go somewhere and get a fresh start. That’s been clear for a while now. The same goes for the other two. I think they’ll go.
“I was surprised to hear that director of football say that about transfers when they are chasing that top six.
“They could do with three or four £60m to £70m player to get anywhere near, unless Conte can work his magic again.”
