Tottenham told to complete Andersen signing after Sky bid update - Hutton
Alan Hutton has urged Tottenham to try and sign Joachim Andersen over Takehiro Tomiyasu this summer.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the Lilywhites would be better off adding Premier League experience to the heart of their defence.
As reported by Sky Sports (July 1st), Spurs have seen a £15.5million bid for Tomiyasu rejected by Bologna.
The broadcaster claim Spurs are also interested in Lyon’s Andersen.
The 25-year-old spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Fulham.
Hutton revealed he was seriously impressed by Andersen after watching him in person for the Cottagers.

He suggested Spurs should target someone with Premier League experience under their belt.
“I think going down the experienced route would suit them the best,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Andersen really impressed me last season. I actually watched a few of the games for BBC 5 Live and I thought he was excellent.
“He was quality. Really strong, comfortable on the ball, wanted to pass, defended first and foremost. He has experienced that level of football.
“I think that’s better for Tottenham moving forward rather than bringing someone in who doesn’t know the league.
“If you can bring out those sort of experienced players that know the team already, know what it’s all about, that can be an advantage.
“Hopefully, for Nuno, if he knows the player, that can help them along as well.”
Andersen played 31 times in the Premier League during his spell at Fulham.
He also has six caps for Denmark and has featured once at this summer’s European Championships.
