Tottenham’s horrendous recent record vs Wolves spells serious trouble in relegation clash
Tottenham Hotspur will go to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday in desperate need of three points in the Premier League.
Rob Edwards’ side were officially relegated to the Championship this week, and the Lilywhites could still join them.
Tottenham sit 18th on 31 points, with West Ham just two points ahead and firmly in their sights for the final five games of the season.
But the fixture list has not been kind to Roberto De Zerbi’s team, and Saturday’s clash at Molineux is among two or three remaining games that the North London club simply must win.
Unfortunately, Tottenham’s recent form against Wolves does not bode well for a comfortable afternoon.

Former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider this week that Tottenham face huge wage cuts if they are relegated from the Premier League this season.
It would be a financial catastrophe for the club, and that is why they pushed the boat out to appoint De Zerbi before the summer.

The Italian is yet to provoke a response from his players, however, and they are still without a Premier League win in 2026.
But there was definitely an improvement in last week’s 2-2 draw with Brighton, and the 46-year-old will hope to see it built upon, despite the late heartbreak.
In Wolves, though, Tottenham face an opponent against whom they have had very little success in recent years.
The North London club are without a win over the West Midlands club since 2022, when Harry Kane found the difference at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At Molineux. Tottenham have been unsuccessful since 2021, when they also won 1-0. Dele Alli scored the winner that day.
Of the last eight meetings between the sides, the Lilywhites have won just once, losing five times.
Wolves draw in September was sign of trouble
When Wolves travelled to Tottenham in September, they had lost all five of their Premier League openers and faced a Tottenham side in good form under new manager Thomas Frank.
But somehow, the bottom-club dominated the affair and came just seconds away from winning it before Joao Palhinha’s stoppage-time strike.
It was the first sign of trouble for Frank, and the losses began to mount up in the weeks following.
De Zerbi will hope to avoid the same fate on Saturday, but will face a Wolves team without anything to lose.
