TOTTENHAM MATCH CENTRE:
Predicted XIs, Stats, Tactics & Survival Battle Analysis
Tottenham fans are starting to believe that they will preserve their Premier League status after earning back-to-back wins for the first time since the opening two games of the season. After defeating Wolves 1-0 last week, their first top-flight win of the campaign, Spurs produced a fine performance to overcome Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park on Sunday. Conor Gallagher and Richarlison were on target in a brilliant first-half showing, and not even Emi Buendia’s last-gasp header could ruin the mood among the away fans. The upshot is that Tottenham are out of the relegation zone, one point above West Ham, but Roberto De Zerbi was keen to remind his players that there are still three huge games on the horizon.

Next up: Tottenham vs Leeds United
Tottenham have taken seven points from the last three games to give themselves some real momentum in what has been a brutal battle against relegation. But the reality remains that dropping into the Championship is still a monumental threat with only three games left to play. Next up, Leeds United visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on May 11. Daniel Farke’s men have been in fantastic form themselves, and virtually guaranteed to be playing Premier League football next season. That might give Spurs fans hope that they will take their foot off the gas a little in this clash, but De Zerbi will not be relying on that for one second. Spurs have stepped up in recent weeks, but they have to keep stepping up now in the next few weeks to avoid what would be a catastrophic relegation.
