Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has held tentative discussions with a number of Premier League clubs as he looks to make his way back onto the pitch.

The former Arsenal and Liverpool star has been a free agent since August after Besiktas terminated the former England international’s contract.

Since then, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked to moves to Rangers and Leeds. However, the midfielder has remained without a club.

Now, with January approaching, multiple sides are reportedly interested in making a move.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Sunderland, Everton and Fulham’s radar

According to Sports Boom on 17 December, Oxlade-Chamberlain is being eyed by Sunderland, Everton and Fulham.

Currently, the former England international is training with Arsenal and has been keeping match fit with their Under 21s side.

While Oxlade-Chamberlain has previously had injury issues in the Premier League, he will be hoping that he has overcome this.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is aiming to return to the Premier League once again, and has held tentative discussions about a return to the top-flight.

The 32-year-old has not played in England since the 2022-23 season, when he was released by Liverpool at the end of his contract.

However, it remains to be seen if a Premier League side makes a move in January to reignite his Premier League career.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s career in numbers

The 32-year-old has achieved multiple heights at every club he has been at, including a Champions League and Premier League title, as well as three FA Cups.

Even at Besiktas, Oxlade-Chamberlain won an honour as he lifted the Turkish Cup in the 2023-24 campaign.

  • Oxlade-Chamberlain has had great careers at both Arsenal and Liverpool
  • The midfielder has won 12 trophies and one promotion across his career to date
  • As a result, plenty of clubs are looking to sign the free agent in the coming weeks

To date, the midfielder has played 437 matches for his multiple clubs, and he has scored 53 goals.

For England, Oxlade-Chamberlain has also been capped 35 times, scoring seven goals, with his last appearance coming in 2019.

Now, the midfielder will be hoping to add to these numbers in the coming months as he searches for a new club.
