Celtic are braced for a mammoth bid from Arsenal for Kieran Tierney amid growing fears they could lose him this summer, Football Insider can reveal.

The Premier League giants are in the market for a new left-back this window and have made the Scotland international, 22, their top target.

A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the club are aware of strong interest from Arsenal in Tierney and are now expecting a significant offer for him which could arrive this month.

The player's shift in stance has Hoops officials concerned as he previously has been delighted to pledge his allegiance to the club he joined as a schoolboy and where he has progressed through the ranks to be a star player of three consecutive treble-winning campaigns.

The Glasgow giants would want well in excess of £20million for their academy product, who signed a six-year contract in 2017 that still has four more years to run.

Arsenal's finances have been restricted by their failure to secure a place in the Champions League for a third consecutive season, but they have the money to make Celtic an offer they can't refuse.

The Glasgow giants fear Tierney's head has been turned by the stunning rise of fellow Scotland international and left-back Andy Robertson, who has just won the Champions League and played in his second consecutive final in Europe's elite competition.

Tierney has already won five league titles among 11 major trophies at Celtic, accumulating a remarkable 170 senior appearances since breaking into the first team aged 17.
