Leeds United striker Mallik Wilks has joined Grimsby Town on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old had been the subject of interest from a number of teams but will hook up with the League Two side immediately. It is the striker's second loan visit to League Two of the season after spending the first half at high fliers Accrington Stanley and scoring five goals there. Grimsby are in the other half of the table in 16th position and Wilks will continue his development there as his new club try to steer themselves away from danger. It is said that he could make his debut as soon as Saturday when his new side take on table-topping Luton.

Wilks has made one substitutes appearance for the senior team but it wasn't a happy experience. He came on for 26 minutes in the FA Cup game with Sutton United that Leeds ended up losing 1-0. In other Leeds news,
