Aston Villa have confirmed that Callum O'Hare has penned a new two-year contract at Villa Park.

The Villains announced on their official Twitter account on Friday that attacking midfielder O'Hare, 19, has agreed terms for a fresh deal at the West Midlands club after recently emerging as a regular part of Steve Bruce's matchday squad.

Solihull-born O'Hare has made his first-team debut for Aston Villa this season and has continued to impress by making five appearances across all competitions.

He is yet to start in the Championship but has made good accounts for himself in his two league appearances off the bench against both Cardiff and most recently Wolves.

O'Hare is the second attacking player to have signed a new deal at Villa Park in the last couple of weeks after striker Harry McKirdy also penned fresh terms with the club.

Football Insider Verdict

Teenager O'Hare is a really promising looking talent and is showing marked improvement with every game he plays in the first team. Bruce needs to keep showing faith in the youngsters because at the moment they are the ones who appear to be constantly getting his side out of trouble with stars like Keinan Davis and Andre Green constantly impressing. O'Hare may be a player who could also benefit from being sent out on loan, just to get more regular first-team football. However Bruce may see him as having a more prominent role after committing his future to Villa Park.
