Stoke City defender Harry Souttar has agreed a deal to rejoin Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan deal, Football Insider understands.

The Australia international, 20, spent the second half of last season on loan at the League One club and impressed during his time at Highbury.

A Stoke source has told Football Insider that Souttar has turned down interest from nine other clubs to make the return to Joey Barton's team.

Potters boss Nathan Jones is happy to loan out Souttar again so that he can continue his development by playing regular first-team football before returning to challenge for a place in the Stoke side.

Souttar, who joined Stoke from Dundee United in 2016, is highly rated by the Championship outfit and Jones has big long-term plans for him.

The 20-year-old, who joined Stoke from Dundee United in 2016, has made two first-team appearances for the club in the EFL Cup and he will be hoping to get the chance to play regularly at Fleetwood.
