Graham Potter is said to be “very much interested” in taking the Everton job if it becomes available, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the former Chelsea boss could be in line to take the job if the club parts ways with Sean Dyche.

The 49-year-old has been out of work since being let go by Chelsea in 2023, but he is ready to get back into football if the Goodison Park vacancy becomes available.

The situation at Everton is being monitored after their winless start to the Premier League campaign, with the Merseyside club currently bottom of the Premier League.

Everton have conceded more goals than any other team in the division and have also been knocked out of the EFL Cup.

Graham Potter could step back into football with Everton

Dyche is under pressure to turn the season around promptly as fans have begun to become frustrated with their performances.

Sources have told Football Insider that the board values Dyche after he steered the club away from relegation during his time in charge.

However, if results don’t improve then the club will act in a bid to ensure they don’t get pulled into another relegation scrap.

Potter boasts plenty of experience in the Premier League from his time in charge of Chelsea and Brighton.

Everton will be back in action on Saturday (21 September) against Crystal Palace.
