Ianis Hagi is edging closer to a move away from Rangers with multiple clubs prepared to make offers, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that Rangers are in a difficult position, and may not be able to match the offers on the table from rival clubs in Europe.

Hagi, 26, is out of contract at Ibrox at the end of the season and is expected to take his time over a decision as he will explore his options before reaching an agreement.

There have been suggestions that the Ibrox club are unable to come up with a lucrative offer or long-term deal given their current financial situation.

That is despite intensive efforts to move him on during the summer transfer window, but there are now concerns that he could leave for free.

Ianis Hagi future undecided as Rangers make contract decision

Hagi's departure would come as a significant financial blow to Rangers, who would lose a key player with no incoming fee and inevitable would have to replace him.

The Romania international spent a large spell this season playing and training with the B team amid a difficult contract situation which saw him banished from Clement's plans.

Since coming back into the first-team picture, however, he has cemented himself as a key player once more, picking up four goals and five assists in 18 appearances.

Hagi has started each of their last seven league games, and has inspired the club's hierarchy to put plans in place over the renewal of his contract.

However, with links to the likes of Italian outfit Genoa and Turkish giants Fenerbahce, his ultimate decision remains up in the air for now.

Philippe Clement under pressure amid Ibrox uncertainty

There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Rangers of late, with Hagi's future just one of multiple big decisions to be made in the coming weeks at Ibrox.

His side were unceremoniously dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Queens Park at Ibrox, while they have fallen 13 points behind league-leaders Celtic in the SPFL.

As a result, there is a growing feeling that the club could be forced into a decision sooner rather than later as anger from the stands continues to grow.
