Man United are in advanced talks to sign teenage sensation Chido Obi-Martin after hijacking Arsenal's deal, sources have told Football Insider.

But the Danish forward has now told the London giants he will not sign the contract they have offered as he closes in on a move to United.

Sources say Obi-Martin has received a "magnificent" offer from the 20-time Premier League champions and is increasingly likely to sign professional terms with United as soon as he turns 17.

Man United set to hijack Obi-Martin's Arsenal deal

The 16-year-old is arguably one of the most exciting young talents in the country and has taken the English youth leagues by storm.

Obi-Martin finished the season with 32 goals in the Under-18 Premier League, surpassing ex-Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun's single-season record.

In October 2023, the prolific young striker made headlines by scoring 10 goals in a single Under-16 match against Liverpool.

Following his promotion from the Under-16s to the Under-18s, Obi-Martin scored seven goals in a 9-0 demolition of Norwich.
