Goalkeeper Jordan Archer has completed a medical at Fulham as he puts the finishing touches to a transfer, Football Insider understands.

Archer, 26, is a free agent after leaving Oxford United following a short-term one-month stay at the League One club.

A Fulham source has tod Football Insider that he is now set to move to Craven Cottage after undergoing a medical and agreeing the terms of a deal.

The former Tottenham youngster is expected to sign a contract until the end of the season with the west Londoners.

Archer will provide cover and competition for current No.1 keeper Marek Rodak.

He left Millwall last summer after running down his contract at the Den, but was left without a club until he joined Oxford United.

The Scotland international moved to the League One promotion hopefuls in December and he kept three clean sheets in eight appearances for the U's.

His Oxford form brought him to the attention of clubs higher up the football pyramid and Fulham have moved to offer the experienced keeper a return to the Championship.

Archer made 166 appearances for Millwall during his four years at the club and broke into the Scotland squad.

He has one international cap after playing 13 times for his country at Under-21s level.

Archer has also had spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town after leaving Tottenham without breaking into their senior side.
