West Ham striker Lucas Perez is set to undergo an Alaves medical and completed a move to the club in the next 24 hours, Football Insider understands.

The Premier League have accepted an offer of £2.2million from Alaves for Perez, who failed to establish himself at the London Stadium following his arrival from Arsenal last summer.

A Hammers source has told Football Insider that personal terms have been agreed between Alaves and the 30-year-old, who will undergo a medical in Spain this weekend.

A number of clubs have been linked with Perez, but, as revealed by Football Insider early today, Alaves have moved quickly to tie up a deal with West Ham and the player.

Perez only made 19 appearances for the Hammers, scoring six goals in all competitions for the club and they are happy for him to move on.

The forward did not figure in the long-term plans of Manuel Pellegrini, but it means West Ham are in the market for striking reinforcements this summer with Perez set to join Andy Carroll in leaving the club.

The Hammers announced earlier this week that high-profile trio Carroll, Samir Nasri and Adrian were all leaving after being released at the end of their contract.
