Medical Tomorrow: Peterborough beat Celtic in Randall race after £1m-plus bid accepted - Sources
Peterborough United have agreed to sign Celtic target Joel Randall for £1million-plus and he will undergo a medical tomorrow (3 August), Football Insider can reveal.
The Exeter City winger was the subject of three failed bids from Charlton Athletic in January and has been the subject of strong Celtic and Norwich City interest.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Peterborough have now won the race to land Randall.
He is set to undergo medical tests and sign tomorrow for a fee of over £1million.
Football Insider learned in January the 21-year-old was on Celtic's radar and they were considering a bid.
However, he is now set to sign for Championship new boys Peterborough.
Randall scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for Exeter last season.
Celtic have instead looked abroad to bolster their attacking ranks.
Ange Postecoglou has added Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi this summer and both made their Scottish Premiership debuts in the 2-1 defeat to Hearts on Saturday.
Abada scored on his debut against FC Midtjylland in a Champions League qualifier last month.
Meanwhile, Furuhashi only arrived in Scotland on Saturday morning and was introduced from the bench at Tynecastle.
Postecoglou's next priority will be strengthening at the other end of the pitch.
