Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon is undergoing a Derby County medical as they put the finishing touches to signing him ahead of Leeds United, Football Insider sources understands.

Derby and Leeds both agreed fees in the region of £2.5million with Brentford for the Dutch forward earlier this week.

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Jozefzoon has decided to join the east Midlands outfit and he has headed off to the club's headquarters to start medical tests and finalise the deal.

Jozefzoon was given permission by Brentford to hold talks with both Derby and Leeds over a potential move and Jozefzoon appears to have opted for Derby over Leeds.

The news will come as a boost to new Derby boss Frank Lampard as he looks to make Jozefzoon his third new signing this week and follows on from the landmark loan capture of Liverpool sensation Harry Wilson.

Jozefzoon has established himself as one of the best wide men outside the Premier League after impressing at Brentford during the last 18 months following his arrival from PSV Eindhoven.

The former Holland Under-21 international made 43 appearances in all competitions last season and chipped in with seven goals and eight assits for Brentford.
