Plymouth Argyle offer for Terry Taylor rejected - sources
Plymouth Argyle have had an offer for Burton midfielder Terry Taylor rejected, sources have told Football Insider.
Taylor, 22, is out of contract at Burton at the end of June and is set to move on although Burton will be due a compensation fee for the midfielder due to his age.
Championship new boys Plymouth are keen to sign former Wolves youngster Taylor with a number of other clubs, including Cardiff and Hibernian, chasing his signature.
Taylor is a product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy, having swapped Aberdeen for Molineux as a teenager in 2017.
He made his Wolves debut in the EFL Cup in 2019, and then went out on loan in the 2020-21 season to League Two outfit Grimsby Town, featuring 14 times before being recalled by his parent club.
Taylor then made the move to Burton Albion on a permanent basis in February 2021 but took a while to get settled with the Brewers as he wasn't a first-choice starter from the off, and his 2021-22 campaign was disrupted by injury and illness.
Plymouth have not been the only club interested in the midfiedler, as Football Insider revealed last season that Sheffield United were plotting a move before the January transfer window.
Taylor started to cement himself as a regular starter during the 2022-23 campaign and managed to notch four assists for Albion in 26 League One matches.
His season unfortunately came to an end in February due to an ankle injury which he had to undergo surgery to repair.
