Rangers rising star Liam Burt has agreed the terms of a new deal with the club, it has been confirmed.

The Scottsh giants announced on their official academy Twitter account on Monday afternoon that the 19-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a one-year contract extension.

It will keep him at Ibrox until at least the summer of 2019.

Burt has impressed those on the Rangers coaching staff after a loan spell with Scottish Championship side Dumbarton last season where he made 19 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

He has been capped by Scotland at Under-21 level and has made three senior appearances for Rangers in his career so far.
