Leeds are set to announce two new additions to their side this week as manager Garry Monk continues his Elland Road revolution, according to a reliable journalist.

The Whites are desperate to bring in new recruits after being on the receiving end of a 3-0 drubbing by QPR in their Championship opener last weekend.

Radio Yorkshire presenter Joe Rawson confirmed via his personal Twitter account that Leeds were looking to confirm the signings of a right-back and midfielder before Saturday's home game against Birmingham.

Rawson has established a reputation for breaking Leeds news on the social media site and was the first journalist to reveal that the club had sealed the signing of Pablo Hernandez, who was unveiled last Monday as the club's seventh summer signing, and that Charlie Taylor had handed in a transfer request.

Elsewhere in the midfield department, Leeds' shortlist reportedly consists of Lyon's Olivier Kemen, France international Mathieu Flamini and nomadic Italian midfielder Andrea Lazzari.

Leeds are also keen on signing a right-back after Switzerland international Gaetano Berardi limped off the field on Sunday after just 22 minutes.

Northern Ireland's Euro 2016 star Conor McLaughlin has been suggested, while Reece Wabara and Haukar Hauksson have also been reported as catching Garry Monk's eye.

Monk has been very busy throughout the transfer market so far, bringing in the likes of internationals Rob Green and Pablo Hernandez, while League Two Player of the Year Kemar Roofe has signed for around £3million from Oxford United.
