Swansea City are ready to submit a new offer for MK Dons defender Harry Darling, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

Swans boss Russell Martin is keen for a reunion with the centre-back, 22, after working with him during his time in charge of MK Dons.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Swansea are in talks with MK Dons over a potential deal for Darling and are hopeful of striking an agreement.

They had some offers rejected for the defender earlier in this transfer window and are set to table a new bid.

MK Dons are holding out for up to £2million for Darling.

Fisher signed for the Championship outfit three days ago.

Swansea were just six points off the play-off places in the Championship when this site broke news of Martin's interest in Fisher and Darling.

They have now slipped to 17th and have won just one of their last seven matches across all competitions, conceding 16 in that period.

Darling's MK Dons side meanwhile are 5th in the third tier under the supervision of Liam Manning, the youngest manager in the Football League.

The defender has netted four times in 29 appearances this season

He first came through the ranks at Cambridge United, where he made 73 appearances across five seasons.

Darling has been with the Dons for barely a year after signing on for an undisclosed fee in January 2021.

The defender was named their Young Player of the Year at the end of that campaign.
