'Thanks for the thoughtful offer' - Owner details chances of Leeds swap deal for lethal duo

Peterborough owner Darragh MacAnthony has rubbished the notion that Leeds United would be able to pull off a double swap deal involving summer buys Jay-Roy Grot and Pawel Cibicki leaving Elland Road. A hopeful Leeds fan asked MacAthony whether he would want to trade the Whites attackers for the lethal London Road duo of James Marriott and Marcus Maddison. News outlet

the Yorkshire giants were interested in Marriott, 23, and Maddison, 24, and had sent out a scout to keep tabs on the Peterborough pair who have been in deadly form this season

. Marriott has been prolific in front of goal, scoring 23 times in 38 appearances across all competitions this term while attacking team-mate Maddison has been a consistent provider, with 20 assists in 37 total outings, netting nine goals of his own. Now, MacAnthony has been asked whether he would trade that duo for Grot, 19, and Cibicki, 24, neither of which have pulled up any trees since arriving at Elland Road in the summer. "No and No pal. in response to the proposal.

Grot and Cibicki have both been fringe players at Leeds but when given the chance to shine, neither have performed well. Swedish attacker Cibicki showed glimpses of talent when he was finally handed his first Championship appearances in December, supplying assists in back-to-back games.
