Tottenham may already have new manager 'problem' as Levy agrees deal - Hutton
Alan Hutton has raised fears Fabio Paratici's arrival could hinder the manager hunt at Tottenham.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Italian would have to have a good working relationship wth the new boss.
As revealed on Tuesday (8th June), Paratici has agreed a three-year deal to become Spurs' new director of football.
The Italian is set to join Tottenham despite talks with Antonio Conte collapsing this week.
The duo were regarded in some quarters as an all-Italian ticket for Spurs but that is not the case.
Conte and Paratici worked together during their time at Serie A heavyweights Juventus.
As such, Hutton admitted he thought the pair would make a good appointment in north London.
However, with Conte out the picture, the former defender has raised doubts over how another manager will get on with Paratici.
Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: "It could be good. I thought it was a good fit with Conte coming from Italy as well.
"They'll probably know each other and it would have worked well.
"Of course, they still haven't brought a manager in.
"If they bring someone that doesn't necessarily like working with that sporting director, you've already got a problem before you've even started."
Paratici spent 11 years in a variety of executive roles at Juventus before leaving earlier this year.
Daniel Levy has previously employed Damien Comolli, Frank Arnesen and David Pleat in the role of sporting director.
