Trevor Chalobah responds to Leeds link in social media exchange after their defeat to Chelsea
Trevor Chalobah has responded to a Chelsea fan on social media after he was tipped to join Leeds United this summer.
The defender featured as the Blues beat Leeds 1-0 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday to reach the FA Cup final.
The Whites went behind when Enzo Fernandez scored, but had chances to equalise through Brenden Aaronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Chalobah is under contract at Chelsea until 2028 and had looked set for a move away last season after a loan move to Crystal Palace.
Leeds transfer chiefs may have been among the sides looking closely at the 26-year-old last summer, and the coming months could see rumours re-emerge.

Football Insider exclusively revealed in February that Chalobah could leave Chelsea this summer if a new senior centre-back arrives, despite having been a mainstay this season.
The defender has made 44 appearances across all competitions in what has been a tumultuous season for the Blues.

But a new arrival is expected at the back this summer after Mamadou Sarr was brought back from Strasbourg, with Levi Colwill also due to imminently return from an ACL injury suffered last year.
Chelsea would presumably also be open to offers for the likes of Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo, but Chalobah appears likeliest to attract a serious bid.
He enjoyed a strong game against Leeds on Sunday, keeping the Blues’ clean sheet intact with nine clearances and five duels won.
At the full-time whistle, he was captured on camera celebrating and raising his finger to his lips to shush the rival fans.
One Chelsea fan responded to the clip and wrote: “He needs to relax, he’s going there next season”.
Chalobah responded to the post himself, and wrote: “Na you need for relax, even your shadow no believe you”.
Chelsea’s next manager will decide Chalobah’s future
Chelsea will face significant transfer decisions this summer after what has been a hugely disappointing season.
Liam Rosenior was sacked last week and a new manager will arrive at Stamford Bridge, tasked with overseeing the overhaul of a lacklustre squad.
Chalobah will be among those waiting to see what his Chelsea future looks like under new management, but the 26-year-old has proven himself a reliable option.
Should he become available, however, Leeds and several other Premier League sides will be watching on with keen interest.
