Tuanzebe set for career-boosting Aston Villa transfer after update - Kenny
Paddy Kenny has insisted a permanent Aston Villa move for Axel Tuanzebe next year could help revive the defender’s career.
The former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the move could also help the 23-year-old better connect with Villa fans and teammates.
The Sun reported on Monday (September 13th) that Tuanzebe is keen to make his loan at Villa Park permanent after settling well during his third loan spell with the club.
The Congolese defender was an integral part of the side which earned promotion to the top flight with Aston Villa in 2019.
He played 28 Championship games for the Midlands side during that campaign, despite suffering a mid-season metatarsal fracture.
Kenny insisted there was no reason why Tuanzebe shouldn’t move to Villa Park permanently.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Adam Williams if a move could be on the cards, he said:
“Why not? He’s happy there, he’s been getting in the team.
“I always feel that it’s harder to connect with the club when you’re a loan player, and it’s better when you sign permanently.
“Because when you do it becomes your club, your dressing room and you’re playing in front of your fans.
“I think if he gets the opportunity to sign, he will.
“He’s not going to get the opportunities at Manchester United, so why not get some regular football under your belt and see where it can take your career?”
Tuanzebe was restricted to just 19 appearances for the Red Devils last season – most of which came from the substitute’s bench.
The defender has made four Aston Villa appearances this term, including starts in the last two Premier League matches.
